The Lori Eisenhauer Band
Sunday, May 25, 2008 at 8:00 PM - Piazza Stage
From stage to studio, from headlining tours across America and Europe to singing backups for Martina McBride, Lori Eisenhauer is Nashville’s newest underground sensation.
Combining a searing, bluesy voice with a rocking stage presence, Lori Eisenhauer delivers energized and experienced entertainment. “The performance of the evening is without a doubt Lori [Eisenhauer]. [She] belts out her tunes in a powerhouse performance,” (F. Danial Kent, Out and About Nashville, June, 2003).
Nashville City Paper columnist Amy Stumpfl wrote of Lori Eisenhauer’s vocal performance as being “fantastic,” (February 17, 2005).
Kevin Nance, of the Tennessean, reported that Eisenhauer “overshadowed” many other local performers, and commented: “[Lori Eisenhauer is] a dark eyed vamp with a smoldering glance, monster cheekbones and legs that deserve to be registered as deadly weapons,” (May, 2003).
The Tennessean also gave Best Supporting Actress nods to Lori during the 2003 Tennessee Theater Awards for her sizzling portrayal of Velma Kelly in The Boiler Room Theatre’s production of the smash hit Chicago, of which F. Danial Kent also wrote: “[Lori] rivals such classic performances as Bebe Newarth’s.”
Prior to touring with Martina McBride, Lori has opened for such artists as The Dixie Chicks, Phil Vasser, Little Texas, Doug Supernaw, John Berry, Neil McCoy, Lee Roy Parnell, Ty Herndon, Hank Williams III, Stephanie Bentley, and Frazier River.
“THUMBS UP . . . to Herrin native Lori Eisenhauer who has been singing with country and western music superstar Martina McBride. Eisenhauer is a talented singer who continues to make her fans here in Southern Illinois proud,” (the Southern Illinoisan, December 10, 2004).
In ’97 and ’98, sponsored by the DOD, Lori and her band toured the Mediterranean, performing for appreciative American military men and women stationed in seven different countries.
Lori Eisenhauer has all the skill and talent that is at home both on stage and in the studio. Her self-titled CD (nine songs that boast influences from Sheryl Crow to Creedence Clearwater Revival to Patsy Cline), showcases Lori’s co-writing abilities, alluring voice, and her dedication to finding the “right” musicians to fill the bill.
Professionalism, style, and substance. This is Lori Eisenhauer.
