SUMMARY:Little Mr./Miss Pageant & Baby Contest
DESCRIPTION:Presented by the Herrin Woman’s Club\, the Little Mr./Miss Pageant and Baby Contest is one of HerrinFesta’s most adorable traditions\, inviting our youngest community members to shine on stage. With several age-based categories\, this heartwarming event celebrates personality\, charm\, and those unforgettable first smiles. It’s a crowd favorite filled with cuteness\, laughter\, and plenty of photo-worthy moments. Proceeds from this event support the local service projects of the Herrin Woman’s Club. \nThe pageant will be held on Sunday\, May 17\, 2026\, at the Herrin Civic Center. Doors open at noon\, and the Baby Pageant begins at 1:00 p.m. Admission is $5.00 per person (cash only). Children ages 8 and under are free. \nThe Baby Contest is open to babies from birth to 2 years of age on the day of the pageant. There will be a break for awards after the baby contest. \nNew Category – E”special”ly Lovely: \nOpen to children from birth through 14 years of age. There will be a break for awards following this category. \n\nLittle Miss/Mr. Pageant is open to children ages 3 to 5 years on pageant day. \nJunior Miss/Mr. Pageant is open to children ages 6 to 9 years on pageant day. \nPreteen Miss is open to girls ages 10 to 12 years on pageant day. \nMiss Teen is open to girls ages 13 to 15 years on pageant day.\n\nThis year’s theme is “Follow the Yellow Brick Road.” Contestants may wear a themed outfit or any casual or dressy outfit of their choice. There will be no outfit changes. \nApplications should be submitted in advance. Please submit a separate form for each child entered\, although one check may be used for multiple entries. The entry fee is $30 per child\, and checks should be made payable to Herrin Woman’s Club.  \nCheck-in for Little Miss/Mr.\, Junior Miss/Mr.\, Preteen Miss\, and Miss Teen contestants will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. \nWinners who wish to ride in the HerrinFesta Parade on Saturday\, May 23\, 2026\, must arrange their own transportation. There will not be a Woman’s Club float. Winners will be contacted with parade details. \nJudges’ decisions are final. DESCRIPTION:The HerrinFesta team is excited to announce: FESTA DI PICKLEBALL! \nA pickleball tournament by the Herrin High School Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA)\nto raise funds for the FBLA National Leadership Conference. \nTournament Info:\nThis half-day tournament will be held at the Herrin City Park outdoor pickleball facility with Age &\nSkill Divisions (2.5-5.0) in Coed Doubles. Coed teams may consist of any combination of men’s\,\nwomen’s\, or mixed teams. \nThe format for this tournament will be round robin\, 1 game to 11\, win by 2\, with single\nelimination playoffs. Medal matches will be the best 2 out of 3 games to 11 (win by 2). (Note – for\nsmaller brackets\, the tournament director may convert the brackets to a format of 2 out of 3 to\n11 (win by 2) or merge brackets\, if needed. Larger brackets may be divided into pools with the\ntop two from each pool advancing to the single-elimination playoffs (This may be adjusted\, as\nwell). \nMedals will be awarded to 1st\, 2nd\, and 3rd place winners in each event.\nThe Tournament Director reserves the right to merge brackets or change format as needed for\ntournament operations. This means that skill and/or ages could be combined depending on the\nregistration counts. \nTournament Date:\nMonday\, May 25\, 2026\n12:00pm-6:00pm\n*Full Bracket Schedule & Start Times will be released the week of the tournament.\nRegistration closes on Friday\, May 15\, 2026 \nTournament Fees:\nRegistration is $30 per player.\nAdditional Information \nRules & Format:\nThis is a non-sanctioned tournament\, but we will be following USAP 2025 rules. \nNotice:\nAge & Skill groups may be combined at the discretion of the Tournament Director to create\nbrackets as needed based on the number of registered teams/players.
