HerrinFesta Grand Parade

Join us for the annual HerrinFesta Italiana Parade, Presented by IBEW Local 702, a beloved tradition celebrating Italian heritage and community spirit! Featuring vibrant floats, local bands, community groups, and festive performances, the parade brings excitement to the heart of Herrin as the festival gets into full swing. Don’t miss this fun-filled event that sets the stage for a week of incredible food, entertainment, and family-friendly festivities!
Grand Parade Instructions
- Starting Point: Herrin Middle School
- Line-Up Time: 10:00 AM
No fee is required to participate. We encourage businesses and political entries to donate to the Herrin Food Pantry. Donations can be mailed to: 509 N 17th St, Herrin, IL 62948.

PARADE RULES
Please follow the instructions below.
Arrival and Line-Up
- Upon Arrival: Look for a Parade Marshal at the corner of Ash Street and 13th Street. You must check in with a Marshal before taking your position. They will assist you in staging your float or vehicle.
- Positioning: Follow their directions to ensure a smooth and organized line-up. Do not move your entry without authorization. Please arrive no later than 10:45 AM.
- Float and Music Encouragement:
We encourage all participants to include engaging floats and lively music!
Safety Guidelines
Prohibited Items:
- Throwing hard objects from your vehicle or float is strictly prohibited.
- Please refrain from using cannons of any kind and/or confetti, as it can create safety hazards and complicate clean-up.
- Throwing items in a way that causes spectators to enter the parade route is prohibited.
- Fireworks, open flames, alcohol consumption, unauthorized drone use, and any offensive or inappropriate content are strictly prohibited.
Parade Start
- Timing: The parade will start promptly at 11:00 AM. Late entries may not be permitted.
- Route: The parade will proceed down Park Avenue and end at Polk Street.
Judging and Announcements
- The judges will be located in front of Herrin City Hall.
- Announcement: Your entry will be announced at City Hall, so be sure to put your best foot forward!
