On behalf of everyone involved with HerrinFesta Italiana, I would like to take this opportunity to remember and honor our service men and women. For without their service and sacrifice, HerrinFesta would not be possible. While HerrinFesta is a celebration of the Italian heritage of Herrin, we celebrate it over Memorial Day, and remembering and honoring our veterans, and our service men and women cannot be left out.
We urge everyone to join us at 9am on Memorial Day at the Doughboy in downtown Herrin for the Memorial Day Service.
All of the people involved with HerrinFesta send a sincere THANK YOU to every man and woman who has served his or her country in our armed forces, at home and abroad. We dedicate the events and entertainment of Monday, May 30 to all of you.
