Arrival and Line-Up
  • Upon Arrival: Look for a Parade Marshal at the corner of Ash and 13th St.  They will assist you in staging your float or vehicle.
  • Positioning: Follow their directions to ensure a smooth and organized line-up.
Float and Music Encouragement:
  • We encourage all participants to include engaging floats and lively music!
Safety Guidelines
Prohibited Items:
  • Throwing hard objects from your vehicle or float is strictly prohibited.
  • Please refrain from using cannons of any kind and/or confetti, as it can create safety hazards and complicate clean-up. Should you use any kind of these devices you will not be welcome the following year.
Parade Start
  • Timing: The parade will start promptly at 11:00 AM.
  • Route: The parade will proceed down Park Ave and end at Polk Street.
Judging and Announcements
  • The judges will be located in front of Herrin City Hall.
  • Announcement: Your entry will be announced at City Hall, so be sure to put your best foot forward!
